The type of personal information we collect

  • In case you are attending one of our projects or events, we may also include other information about you or your needs you may provide (for example information including, but not limited to, dietary requirements).

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • if you subscribe to our website; 

  • if you make a donation or

  • if you contact us for any other purpose.

We will not collect or keep personal information about you unless you have provided it to us and we need it. 

Under the applicable legislation, the lawful base we rely on for processing this information is your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. We use the information that you have given us in order to ensure we can keep you informed about our work, projects, events, collaboration opportunities and fundraising campaigns. We will not collect more information than we need and we will not keep it longer than we need to.

We will not provide third parties with access to your personal data. Some of the service providers we use may have access to your data in order to perform services on our behalf. We will make sure that they will not use your data for any purposes other than the service that they are providing and that they meet standards for data security. We will never share personal information we hold with other people.

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored in electronic format and is password protected. 

The personal information you provide may be transferred to countries outside the United Kingdom, for instance if any of the computer servers used to host our electronic records are located in a country outside of the United Kingdom. If your personal information is transferred outside of the United Kingdom, we will take steps to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this privacy notice.

We keep personal information relating to subscriptions for a maximum of 5 years. After that period, we will write to you to confirm whether you are happy for us to continue to hold your personal information. In case you would like us to delete your personal information, we will dispose of your information by deleting it from our electronic records, along with any copies thereof.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
